Questions
The questions you are asking.
Short answers, including to the awkward ones. If a question is missing, write to us.
Is my money being collected today?
No. No subscription is open, no payment is possible on this site, and nobody is authorised to collect funds on behalf of PIF. If someone asks you for money in PIF's name, it is an attempted fraud — report it to the contact address in the footer. Registering your interest is free and carries no commitment.
Is the return guaranteed?
No. The working objective is a net return of 6 to 9% per year over a typical 36-month term, with semi-annual distributions. It is an objective built on assumptions, not a promise: you can lose part or all of the capital invested. Be wary, here as anywhere, of anyone guaranteeing you a return.
What will the minimum be?
The target entry ticket is €100. It remains a working assumption until the investment vehicle is settled.
When will I be able to invest?
PIF opens once the legal and regulatory work is signed off, and not before. We publish a calendar when it can be held to. Registered contacts hear it first.
What would my money be invested in?
Physical assets held by a dedicated asset company: electric motorcycles, three-wheelers, cars and light commercial vehicles, batteries, swapping and charging stations, solar installations, maintenance and training centres, and related equipment approved by the investment committee. Every asset is identifiable — serial number, registration, location.
How would the revenue be generated?
Assets are operated under contract by selected operators, who pay a usage fee to the asset company. For the reference motorcycle at €1,500, the working assumption is €55 per month over 48 months of operation. Those fees cover operating costs, maintenance, insurance and reserves first, then investor remuneration under the permitted conditions.
What are the main risks?
Partial or total loss of capital. Illiquidity: your money would be tied up for the term. End-user payment defaults, theft or damage to assets, operational risk, political and transfer risk, currency risk outside the CFA franc zone, and regulatory risk for as long as the structuring is unfinished. A full information document will detail every risk before any subscription.
Could I get my money back before the end of the term?
Nothing guarantees it. The envisaged term is 36 months, with no secondary market at launch: treat the funds as locked until maturity. Early exit windows may be studied, without commitment.
What fees will apply?
Fees will be displayed before any subscription. Working assumption: 2% on entry, 2% per year on assets under management, and a 20% performance fee above 8% per year paid to investors.
What tax treatment will apply to my gains?
To be confirmed. Tax treatment will depend on the investment vehicle retained and on your country of tax residence. It is not yet modelled and tax validation is required before any subscription. PIF does not provide tax advice: speak to your own adviser.
Who decides which assets are bought?
An investment committee of three members, in place before the first asset purchase. It will apply published criteria: quality of the operator, strength of the contract, insurance, traceability of the asset. A majority of its independent members must approve any related-party transaction.
What happens if a rider stops paying?
The operator follows up, then recovers the asset — geolocation exists for that. A recovered vehicle is refurbished and assigned to another rider. Losses remain possible: the central working assumption is 4% net losses on annual fees (8% in a prudent scenario), and a first-loss reserve of 5% of each raise is planned to absorb early shocks. That reserve reduces risk; it does not remove it.
Who is PIF for?
Three audiences at once: the African diaspora in Europe, savers in the WAEMU zone, and intermediate, professional and institutional investors. Small tickets make the community; larger tickets make the volume. Access will ultimately depend on your country of residence and the regulatory framework retained.
What happens to my personal data?
It is used only to manage the waiting list and to keep you informed about the project. It is never sold, rented or transferred. You can ask for it to be corrected or deleted at any time, from any email or via the address in the privacy policy.
Does registering commit me to investing?
No, to nothing. It is a non-binding expression of interest: not an offer of investment, not a subscription, not a public solicitation of capital. You can unsubscribe at any time and, if subscriptions ever open, decide freely whether to invest.
