The model
How PIF works.
One chain, six links. Each designed to be documented, contracted and auditable.
Capital
Investors commit capital to the vehicle.
PIF
The fund allocates it under a defined investment policy.
Real assets
An asset company acquires and owns the equipment.
Operators
Selected operators put the assets to work under contract.
Revenue
Usage fees flow back to controlled accounts.
Return and impact
Costs, maintenance and reserves first; investors thereafter.
This describes the target model. The legal form of the vehicle, the flow of funds and the order of distributions are subject to legal, tax and regulatory validation.
Order of payment
Where the revenue goes, in order.
Investors are paid after the asset has been kept alive, not before.
- Operating costs
- Paid first, out of the usage fees collected.
- Maintenance and insurance
- What keeps the asset working and covered.
- Reserves
- Liquidity and first-loss reserves, rebuilt as a priority.
- Investors
- Remuneration under the conditions permitted by the framework retained.
- Asset renewal
- What is left funds the next generation of equipment.

Investment case
Why productive real assets, and why now.
Six specific conditions, not a continent-sized generalisation.
Demand for productive infrastructure
Urban services need vehicles, energy and equipment faster than local balance sheets can fund them.
Urbanisation and mobility
Dense, fast-growing cities create daily, repeated demand for transport and last-mile delivery.
Energy access
Distributed solar and storage make charging viable without waiting for grid expansion.
Entrepreneurial density
Operators and micro-businesses are ready to use assets they cannot buy outright.
A financing gap, not a demand gap
The constraint sits in access to asset finance, not in the willingness or ability to pay.
Assets you can now monitor
Telematics, metering and payment histories make each unit traceable and measurable.
A qualitative thesis. Market data and pricing assumptions will be published with their sources alongside the investment policy — we publish no statistic we cannot attribute.
